Built in 1893 by the then Mayor of Keswick, the American design was his 'dream' family home and served as such until the present generation. His great grand-daughter is still a regular guest at the house.   Goodwin House Guest House is now home to Marion & Peter who are delighted to offer a peaceful haven amidst the vibrant atmosphere of this beautiful Lakeland town.

Goodwin House Guest House has been sympathetically updated to provide modern facilities whilst retaining many charming features of the original house.  All rooms have full en-suite facilities and are totally non-smoking with many little extra’s to add that special touch and enhance comfort.

Goodwin House Guest House is in a convenient location being just a short walk from the town centre of Keswick, the Derwentwater lake shore and world renowned Theatre by the Lake.   Keswick is an ideal base from which to see and tour the stunning scenery of The English Lake District.

All rooms at Goodwin House Guest House are light, airy and provide quality en suite facilities, colour TV, alarm clock-radios, hairdryers and refreshment tray. To ensure your needs are catered for a healthy breakfast is served to set you up for the day.  Beautiful Lakeland has many attractions and we'll willingly advise you on car routes and walks etc.  Weather reports are posted every morning but if you're caught out we'll dry you out.   Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, let us provide the comfort to enjoy it from. Unfortunately Goodwin House Guest House  cannot accommodate children under 12.
