Free, fun, informal events for beginners, recreational and more experienced players, that is what you will experience when you play Disc Golf at Grand Disc Golf in Forest Grove, Oregon, in the United States.
Play a round of golf at Grand Disc Golf, Disc Golf, that is. Formalized as a sport in the 1970s, Disc Golf is played much like regular golf. The object of the game is to complete each hole on the course in the fewest number of throws and land your disc in an elevated metal basket commonly referred to as a disc catcher.
Golfers beware, though! This is no easy game of Frisbee, obstacles on the course at Grand Disc Golf in Forest Grove, Oregon, include poplar, crab apple and laurel trees, an intricate mosaic-tiled sculpture referred to as simply "The Orb," a bus stop, flagpole and more (and we're not even going to tell you about the tenth hole balcony shot). Play on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday evening during the summer and you'll even have live music to guide you through the course. There is no charge to play the course and all ages are welcome. Disc rental is free to players.
Disc Golfers please note that due to watering schedules and private events, not all holes are available every day.
