From the hammock swaying under the palm tree to the complimentary continental Breakfast served each morning to your private suite - The Grand Turk Inn welcomes you to Grand Turk, part of the Turks and Caicos Islands, which lie at the end of the Bahamas chain in the Caribbean...The Turks Islands are Grand Turk (the capital) and Salt Cay.
Originally built 150 years ago as the Methodist Manse this spacious, historic, oceanfront home, on Front Street, typifies the character of the stately British West Indies architectural style.
Converted in 2005 to The Grand Turk Inn, the five large, elegant, sun filled suites all overlook the turquoise ocean waters of the Columbus Landfall National Park/Atlantic Ocean and a pristine white sandy Beach.
The five air conditioned suites are designed for your comfort and relaxation. All feature full kitchens, Cable TV/DVD's, wireless computer access, personal in-room safes, hairdryers, bathrobes, designer linens, ceiling fans and daily housekeeping.
A wrought iron staircase leads up to the large sundeck with expansive ocean-coastline views. January through March the sundeck offers the perfect spot to Whale watch.
Had enough sun? Retreat downstairs to the shady outdoor "Breezeway" and listen to the sound of the water cascading down the five foot fountain while relaxing in the cushioned rattan seating, or gently rock in the huge carved antique Indian swing and watch the sunset (and perhaps the elusive "green flash").
Additional amenities include free bicycles. The Little Hut Restaurant with Chef "Bunny" Williams cooking up local favorites plus surprise specials will open in June 2009. Open for Lunch and Sunset Dinners on site.
