Welcome to the Graystone Inn, Wilmington, United States.
The Graystone Inn, originally "The Bridgers Mansion," was built in 1905-1906 by Elizabeth Haywood Bridgers, widow of Preston L. Bridgers, local merchant and son of Robert Rufus Bridgers, past president of the Atlantic Coast Line Railway, founder of the Wilmington/Weldon Railroad, and two time representative to the Confederate Congress.
A historic landmark and one of the most elegant structures in Wilmington, the Inn has recently undergone extensive renovations and has been returned to its original "turn of the century grandeur". The Inn is now under the new ownership of Innkeepers Rich and Marcia Moore.
Each bedroom at the Inn has its own private bath, telephones with voice mail, WiFi, and cable TV, and all contain period furnishings, exquisite draperies, and fine cotton linen, towels and robes. Intricately carved Fireplaces grace seven of the rooms. The Inn also has a fitness centre that is available upon request.
The Graystone Inn has frequently been used as a set for motion pictures and television, and lists many notable personalities among its guests. The Inn is also a popular setting for weddings, receptions, meetings and events, while comfortably accommodating 150 guests. Downtown Wilmington attractions, shops and restaurants are all within easy walking distance and the Wilmington International Airport is less than ten minutes away.
The Graystone Inn has been chosen by American Historic Inns, Inc. as one of the "Top 10 Most Romantic Inns in the United States"!
