Welcome to the Grey Heron Bed and Breakfast in Motueka, Nelson, New Zealand. We are a couple originally from the Northern Italy (Genoa) to the South Island of New Zealand. Travelling, tramping and mountaineering have been major parts of our lifes.
The Grey Heron Bed and Breakfast faces the Moutere river estuary, overlooking the Kahurangi National Park's mountain range. The golden sand beaches of Abel Tasman National Park are a 20min drive away.
Depending on the season, you will have the chance to see the spectacular White Herons and Royal Spoonbills feeding in the estuary.
We can offer authentic Italian meals with true Italian coffee, organic home-made bread, croissants and jams, additional to the typical Continental breakfast. You will appreciate our Mediterranean atmosphere in the heart of New Zealand's nature, among native trees and lovely singing birds.
