Conveniently located half way along pedestrianised High Street in Fort William Inverness, The Grog and Gruel is a Traditional Alehouse and Restaurant with a warm and friendly atmosphere and a character all of its own.
Set half way along the High Street in Fort William, Inverness, in the Highlands of Scotland and in the shadow of nearby Ben Nevis, we provide a warm and friendly atmosphere where you can relax, enjoy a good beer and a bite to eat.
Enjoy our Traditional Alehouse on the ground floor, or pop upstairs into our popular Restaurant.
The Alehouse has a traditional Pub atmosphere and specialist in serving a wide range of cask conditioned ales from Scotland's many breweries. The Grog and Gruel has been CAMRA Good Beer Guide listed ever since the doors opened in 1994. There's also a good selection of malt whisky to be found on the Pub's well stocked shelves, with around 60 available at any one time.
The Grog and Gruel is 'a little different' from your average Pub and restaurant and so is our food. You can choose to eat from our imaginative Alehouse or Restaurant menus. Light meals and bar snack are available throughout the day and evening in the Pub whilst our ever-popular Restaurant provides a huge choice of meals every evening. Succulent Scottish sirloin steaks, Scottish wild boar burgers, homemade pizza and pasta, our Tex Mex selection.
