The original Inn dates back to the turn of the 16th century and has been the choice of generations as a venue to enjoy fine food, wines and ales. The Bowling Green, after which the Inn is named, is the oldest in the British Isles. In the summer of 1604 a gentleman by the name of Guido (Guy) Fawkes spent some time at the Inn, where it is believed, that along with his fellow conspirators, he started planning the infamous ?Gun powder plot.?
The Hadley Bowling Green is a traditional Inn which offers 12 en-suite bedrooms, ranging from cosy double rooms through to our executive suite with four poster bed. All rooms have television, tea/coffee making facilities and hairdryers. Ironing facilities are available on request. Many of the rooms can be used as doubles, twins or family rooms, depending on your requirements. we also have facilities for the disabled. Extensive views of the grounds can be enjoyed from most aspects.
