Welcome to Haxton Down a beef and Sheep farm 1 mile from the pretty village Of Bratton Fleming, North Devon, United Kingdom. We have been welcoming guests to our home for many years and look forward to making new friends from all over the world. Spring flowers, summer sunshine or the colours of autumn take your pick and enjoy the view.
We are conveniently situated for the coast with a choice of sandy beaches on the west facing coastline or the rugged beauty of the north. Barnstaple with shops, restaurants and history in abundance; pretty villages such as Clovelly, Withypool and Mortehoe and many attractions National Trust properties and private gardens are all within easy reach.
The farmhouse was originally a one-up, one down shepherds cottage and has been extended over the years with the 'new' part dating from 1850. It now offers a family suite with double bedroom. children's room and bath/ shower room. We have found this equally popular with families, couples and friends alike as it gives extra space and privacy. We also have a double bedroom with en-suite shower room. there is space for a cot or small single bed. Rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished and have television, central heating, hospitality trays and hairdryers. Rooms are serviced daily, towels provided and have many thoughtful extras to make. your holiday special.
The guest lounge is furnished with a mix of modern and antiques and has a wood burning stove set in an inglenook fire place, this is lit on cooler evenings and there are a wide selection of books videos CDs and games for your enjoyment. Information on local attractions and maps and walking books are freely available to help you plan your day.
