Welcome to the Heritage Museum of the Texas Hill Country Association. Located in the in the beautiful Canyon Lake area, the Museum has displays on: Native American Artifacts, Early Pioneers including Farm Machinery, the Canyon Dam History, Fossils, Gift Shop, open air picnic area, and the Heritage Garden Trail of native Texas plants.

DINOSAUR TRACKS are also to be seen at the Heritage Museum, Canyon Lake, Texas, United States. Probably the most prolific site in Texas, in terms of number. These tracks were made during the deposition of the upper part of the Glen Rose Formation roughly 100 million years ago.

The Heritage Museum of the Texas Hill Country Association is a non-profit institution, incorporated and chartered under the laws of the state of Texas.

It's Purpose is to perpetuate the memory and spirit of the Native American Indians, the early Pioneers, the development of the Canyon Lake Dam and farming in the area. The Museum site is unique in that there are over one hundred dinosaur tracks of several different types, that were made over 100 million years ago, that can be seen and studied.

The HMTHC Association meets on the fourth Thursday of each month. We have "show and tell", where members and/or guests bring interesting stories, memorabilia, pictures and books relating to the past and share these with other members.
