Welcome to Highgate Golf Club, London, United Kingdom. Highgate Golf Club is a wonderful, friendly members’ club that opened in 1904. The 18-holes stretch to 6,000 yards and we are the nearest 18-hole course to central London. Despite being over 100 years old, the existence of the course still raises eyebrows – even amongst those who have lived in the capital for many years and in that respect, Highgate Golf Club, really is London’s best kept Golfing secret. A hilly, tree-lined parkland course, Highgate Golf Club, has just one par 5 and four extremely demanding par 4s, meaning neither the par or SSS of 69 are a pushover. The amateur course record stands at only 3 under par, while the professional record stood at a similar score until 2003, when Matt Deal of Hendon, aided by a hole in one at the 17th, reduced it to 63.

Overlooking the 18th green, the clubhouse has panoramic views over the course and north London and in the summer months, the terrace enjoys some spectacular sunsets.

Robin Turner has been at the Highgate Golf Club since 1977 and qualified as a PGA professional in 1979. Robin, together with assistant professionals Nick Banks and Geoff Wood are available for lessons. Teaching methods have changed a lot since Robin first came to Highgate Gold Club and the team now uses the GASP system, which provides video and computer analysis of your swing and direct comparison of your swing position with the game’s greats. After your lesson Robin will email you your video clip to help you focus on what you need to work on.
