The History Place in Morehead City, North Carolina, promotes the history and culture of the people of Cateret County, and related areas and the 12,000 square foot facility houses museums, exhibits, a gallery with displays, research library, conference classroom, an auditorium banquet hall, museum store and offices. The Infusion Cafe steeped in history is a proper tearoom located inside the museum and share their knowledge of the teas and coffees they carry with over 100 world infusions and numerous freshly roasted single origin coffees, they also serve lunch, and host exciting dinner theatre every third Saturday. The History Place houses interesting and extensive collections including textiles, period clothing, furniture, military memorabilia, glassware and artwork, and the library houses more than 10,000 books and publications and photo files documenting the history.
