The Holliers Hotel was the first and original Hotel in Shanklin and was originally a 17th Century Coaching Inn and still retains its original charm. When the Poet Longfellow stayed at the Hotel in 1868 he found it ?a lovely thatched-roofed Hotel all covered with ivy, and extremely desirable......Our windows look down on the quaintest little village you ever saw.
