Welcome to the Hybrid Art Gallery, Honiton, Devon, England, United Kingdom. Our inaugural exhibition was a solo show by Richard Adams whose work Hybrid has championed since 1990 when he had his very first exhibition with us at Hybrid in Columbia Road in Hackney, London, England. His work is now shown by major galleries and is highly collectable.
Since re-locating to Honiton we have shown the work of a number of artists working in the region; our position in East Devon borders on Dorset, Somerset and Cornwall where we have discovered wealth of talent. Our connections with the South East have meant that we have also shown the work of several artists from this area. However our criteria for artists to exhibit is not geographically constrained; we select work of quality and integrity which we admire and are enthusiastic about and trust this shows through when the work is hung.
Hybrid will continue to encourage and support the work of emerging artists and its exhibition programme this year will show the work of Glasgow graduate and figurative painter James Hedge.
