The Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art in Staten Island, New York, founded in 1945, is an Art Museum that also offers visitors soothing Tai Chi and Meditation classes. This Art Museum offers its visitors a serene and peaceful retreat that was built to resemble a small Tibetan mountain monastery, and is devoted entirely to Tibetan art. The charming Samadhi Garden which means 'a deep level of concentrated meditation', is complete with a delightful fish pond, meditation cells and also features many original plantings of Jacques Marchais who is a highly regarded expert on Tibetan art.
