Jenkin Farm cottage has a spectacular outlook over open countryside, with views extending to the Solway Firth and the Scottish lowlands. Jenkin Farm are in an ideal situation for fell walking on the Buttermere and surrounding fells, bird watching, and touring the Lakes by car. At the Farm, you can see all sorts of garden birds, wildlife, red squirrels, and visit the osprey viewpoint at Bassenthwaite Lake. The cottage is personally supervised, and has a cosy and homely atmosphere. Jenkin Farm, Cockermouth are open all year, with long weekend and mid-week breaks available in the winter months. The cottage is registered with the English Tourist Board and Local Tourist Boards, and has an English Tourism Council 4 star rating.
