Johnson?s Beach and Resort is located in the casual little northern California town of Guerneville on the Russian River in Sonoma County in the United States.
Johnson?s Beach and Resort is in the Guerneville downtown area within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. A few miles away are redwoods, California wine route wine tastings and the Pacific Ocean.
The Resort opens earlier and closes later in the year than the Beach, depending on the weather. There is a campground and rustic cabin-type rooms that were built in the 1920s. A game room, coin-op launderette and BBQ area are open for the use of Resort guests.
Camping is on a first come, first served basis offering tent and RV sites. Group restroom facilities feature flush toilets and hot showers. A dump station is available and there are electrical outlets at some sites.
All rooms are non smoking and have private bathrooms with showers, refrigerators and TVs. Some units include kitchenettes that are equipped with basic cookware. Linen and bath towels are provided. Please bring your own beach towels. Room reservations are usually by the week. Call for pricing and availability. Credit/debit cards are not accepted. Dogs are not permitted in the rooms or campground.
The Beach offers canoes, kayaks and paddle boats for rent as well as umbrellas, inner tubes and beach chairs. There is a snack bar on the beach and beer is for sale at the boathouse. Our prices are very reasonable! Credit/debit cards are not accepted. A free boat launch is available during business hours. A popular spot is the roped off kiddies? pool.
Johnson?s is home to several special events through out the season. The Russian River Jazz and Blues Festival takes place on the weekend after Labor Day in September. The Vineman organization holds triathlons in July and August.
