Jonahâ??s Palm Beach Restaurant

Jonahâ??s Palm Beach Restaurant in Whale Beach, Sydney, Australia | Restaurant

Jonahâ??s Palm Beach offers Modern Australian cuisine under the direction of award-winning chef George Francisco.
Georgeâ??s modern Australian style of cooking has a significant French influence, but it is his passion for finding and using the best and freshest local produce that will ensure Jonahâ??s diners are as impressed about the food as they are about the view.
After working in some of the most revered Restaurants on the US West Coast including San Franciscoâ??s Starâ??s and Farallon, George moved to Australia in 2001. â??Having visited Australia on many occasions I was so impressed with the Sydney food scene. Somehow the food tasted fresher, and anything I cooked here tasted better than anything I had cooked in the USâ?, he said.
Georgeâ??s membership of the Slow Food Convivium is testament to his undying passion for food. Founded in Italy in 1986 Slow Food is a grassroots international organization that links pleasure and food with awareness and responsibility â?? in a nutshell Slow Food is the opposite of fast food.
George earned a Chef's Hat from the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide two years running (2004/2005), as well as the Bent Fork Award from Sydney Eats, whilst chef/co-owner of the now defunct DISH Restaurant in Newport.
The recently renovated Jonahâ??s boasts 180 degree views of the Pacific Ocean, well spaced tables and a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Jonah's menu is refreshed every season and offers an extensive wine list of over 1,000 cellared rare and vintage Australian and international wines.
