When Jackie O was a living style icon, Patricia Kendall was building her career in New York. She excelled to become the personal stylist for a few South Hampton elite, most notably the skin care genius Estee Lauder. When the family relocated to Orlando Patricia opened Kendall's Salon in Winter Park in 1987.

Her daughter Kendall ("Kendall Jr.", as she became known around the salon) grew up there and emerged as a gifted colorist. While earning her stripes behind the cHair she made frequent visits to New York to study at Bumble and bumble University and with the color maven Beth Minardi. Mother and daughter became partners in 1998 and Kendall & Kendall emerged.
