The work of sculptor Hans Josephsohn (*1920) has played an increasingly important role on the international stage of contemporary art. Kesselhaus Josephsohn at the Sitterwerk near St. Gallen is showing a continuously changing selection of plaster figures and bronze casts of the Zurich-based artist. Without being a classical museum, Kesselhaus Josephsohn is more than a publicly accessible depository. Neither is it a gallery nor a studio in the true sense of the word. However, it fulfills all these functions in its own way.
Hans Jospehsohn’s cooperation with the art foundry over the years has yielded a rich store of experience with and knowledge about his work and has made the Kesselhaus Josephsohn possible. This is the basis on which the Gallery Felix Lehner represents Hans Josephson’s work within the art market.
