!Khwa tuu Arts and Craft Shop, Restaurant and Conference Room located in Yzerfontein along the Western Cape west coast of South Africa form part of the San village experience offered at the cultural complex.

!Khwa tuu Arts and Craft Shop, Restaurant and Conference Room houses the old original farmhouse, which has been lovingly restored over the last four years and is now the beautifully designed Restaurant, which can seat up to 60 guests.

As a visitor at !Khwa ttu, near Yzerfontein, you can enjoy a tasty breakfast or lunch in the Restaurant ? or enjoy coffee or tea with our delicious cakes on the patio. We can also arrange for special functions or celebrations. Our Restaurant is run by a team consisting of a professional chef and San trainees. We aim to ensure that all of our guests enjoy a top-quality experience. Besides health drinks and other beverages, we can offer you a selection of excellent wines produced in the Western Cape West Coast area. The creativity and seasonal changes of our menu has been praised by both local and international patrons.

Conference Room
If you are looking for a venue that will provide you with quality conference or special occasion facilities, in an idyllic rural setting, then we can provide it. The conference room has all the necessary equipment, such as a projector with VGA connection, DVD with surround sound, overhead projector and slide projector, flipchart, ect. The conference room can seat 40 participants. Meals, coffee and refreshments will be separately organized according to the clients? special needs. Game drives, sundowners and guided walks could be arranged as additional activities.

The Arts and Craft Shop
We are extremely proud of our new Arts and Crafts Shop at !Khwa ttu. We have worked hard to build strong links with partner San community organisations across Southern Africa. We are pleased to be able to say that all of our arts and Crafts are genuinely produced by the San themselves; from people living in villages based within the remotest parts of Southern Africa.

All of us who work here at !Khwa ttu ? and the people who support our project - believe that San-owned businesses and initiatives are crucial in order to alleviate the severe poverty that most San have to live with every day.

Therefore !Khwa ttu offers the San crafters of Southern Africa an attractive outlet for their products. Some of the most beautiful pieces which you can find at the Crafts shop are made from Ostrich eggshells. For hundred of years the San have produced ostrich eggshell jewellery using only simple hand tools. This is an extremely slow and laborious process which requires a great deal of skills. In our shop you can purchase the most up-to-date designs as well as traditional pieces; such as stunning necklaces, bracelets, wraps and bags. We also offer San paintings, bow and arrows, wooden carvings and many more items. We ensure that we apply fair trade practices in all of our contracts with our San Crafts people and artists.
