Klehm Arboretum and Botanical Garden in Rockford, Illinois, United States, is located on an 155-acre site which begins with landscape architect William Lincoln Taylor, who established the land as Rockford Nursery in 1910. Many of the rare trees on the site are a result of experimental plantings by Mr. Taylor.
In 2003 the Winnebago County Forest Preserve District and the Klehm Arboretum and Botanical Garden Board of Directors adopted a 10 year master plan for future development. This development includes new gardens, revitalizing existing gardens, increasing the diverse collections, and the addition of facilities to better meet the needs of visitors as well as offer unique indoor garden exhibits.
