Koksijde Latin club - During the summer of 2004 the idea of a free concert on the beach of Koksijde arose during a sunny afternoon on a terrace. The inspiration for this was the samba of Daniela Mercury, a Brazilian singer, for which both organizers melted. Jan Deramoudt brought with him the knowledge and experience concerning the organisation of large Events such as the international cyclocross at Koksijde. Frederik David completed the spectrum further with his eclectic musical knowledge and passion for the southern life style.

Rapidly both enthusiasts no longer dreamed of a free concert but a free and quality one day festival and with the collaboration of the municipality Koksijde arose at the beginning of 2005 "Koksijde Latin Club". Already three years on file this success formula reaches approximately 5,000 aficionados on the beach of Koksijde.
