Lander Bed and Breakfast is located in Drymen near Loch Lomond, Scotland in the United Kingdom. We are pleased that you are considering visiting our home where we have lived for 25 years and have been welcoming visitors for over 18 years.
Lander Bed and Breakfast is open for guests at 4pm, don't worry we won't turn you away if you arrive earlier, but you we may still be doing the chores. We welcome you to a cup of tea or coffee after 4pm in our large kitchen/dining room when you arrive.
The rooms at Landers Bed and Breakfast are in a purpose-built extension at the back of the house so you can come and go as you please through the back door, which leads into our garden where you will find many different varieties of flowers, plants, fruit and vegetables (and occasionally some foraging wildlife). We use our raspberries and apples to make home-made jams and jellies for you to sample at breakfast. Frances would be more than happy to give you a guided tour of the garden.
The accommodation is in two bedrooms, one with 2 single beds; and a family room with two single beds and 2 adult-sized bunk beds.
There is a separate shower room with wash basin, and a separate WC with wash basin, both shared among the guests (we have no en-suite accommodation). Towels, TV, radio alarm clock and a hairdryer are all provided, washing and drying of clothes can be done by arrangement, and ironing facilities are available.
Breakfast is at 8.30am unless otherwise arranged. Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements, as we normally serve a full Scottish breakfast of cereal, and any combination of egg, bacon, sausage, tomato, potato scone, and toast, along with home made marmalade and jams.
Drymen, Scotland, is only 3 miles from Loch Lomond and we have a boat moored there during the summer. If you are interested in going for a sail we would be delighted to arrange this for you.
Many of our visitors are walking the West Highland Way, a 95 mile trek from Milngavie to Fort William. There are many more shorter walks nearby and other local attractions which we would be more than happy to tell you about, to help you get the most from your visit.
We are happy that you are considering staying in our home, and we look forward to hearing from you.
