Lax Lake Resort was settled in 1896 and is located in Lake County seven miles from Beaver Bay, Silver Bay and Finland in Minnesota in the United States. The lake occupies 296 acres, part of which is Tetteguche State Park. Lax Lake has a swimming beach and a boat launch, and is surrounded by a forest of conifer, birch and maple in Minnesota?s Sawtooth Mountains. Lax Lake Resort opened its? doors in 1928, Dean and Jan Rudloff (and family) became the 2nd owners. We are now in our 32nd year of operation, being run by the next generation.
Lakeside Housekeeping Cabins
Built in the early 1930?s by the Wax Lax family, these rustic Cabins with personality are located just feet from the lakeshore. Fully furnished, these two bedroom Cabins with kitchen also offer a screened-in porch. A modern bathroom and shower facility is nearby. Cabins do not have running water. Try to find the oldest dates and signatures on the porch logs of those who have stayed in the past.
Lakeside Lodge Rooms
Four smoke-free rooms are located above our bathroom and shower facility with patio doors that open onto a scenic view of the lake. Perfect for those who plan to spend their time exploring the area or do not need indoor cooking facilities. Two rooms offer one queen and one single bed. Two rooms offer two double beds.
Duplex
Located on a hill off the lake, this unit has an available kitchen and lock-off rooms to accommodate your needs. Can sleep two, four, or six with two private 3/4 bathrooms.
Lakeshore Campsites
For campers, we offer a variety of sites to accommodate your camping personality. Whether you are a tenter, a pop-up, or a pull-thru, we have reserved a few sites for each of you.
Fishing - Lax Lake contains Walleye, Northern Pike, Crappie, Small & Large Mouth Bass, and our famous Monster Sunnies all for your fishing pleasure. Great shoreline fishing for the kids... or try our ?Big Rock?.
Berry Picking - Pick raspberries, wild strawberries, and blueberries each in their season, ranging from June to September. We?ll even point you in the right direction!
