Le Meridien Haifa - Set on one of Haifa's best bathing beaches, this semiluxury Hotel (built in 1997) offers standard guest rooms (they're called "superior" by the Hotel) with sea views, as well as a variety of one and two-bedroom suites with kitchenette facilities. Two hundred of the 300 rooms and suites in this high-rise are set aside for Hotel purposes; the rest of the units are residential and long-term rentals. Guest rooms are new and sleekly furnished. The variety of suites makes this a good choice for vacationing families as well as long-term business travelers working at the nearby Matam Industrial Park. Kitchenettes in some rooms compensate for the fact that the Hotel is not near shops and restaurants. Bus service up into town is not frequent, so unless you have a car, the location, though nice for beach lovers, is isolating.
