Welcome to Leigh Cottages situated in the quiet secluded hamlet of Weston on East Devon’s Jurassic coast, just 3 miles from the Regency seaside resort of Sidmouth and 2 miles from the pretty village of Branscombe, United Kingdom.
Weston and the surrounding land is all designated AONB (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and much of the coastline is managed by the National Trust.The Cottages are only 150 yards from a scenic NT valley, which drops steeply to the shingle beach at Weston and the South West coastal paths. There are panoramic views from Weston Cliff to Portland and Chesil Beach to the East, and to Teignmouth, the South Hams and Brixham to the West.
This unspoilt part of East Devon is a haven for walkers, nature-lovers, bird watchers and cyclists, and Leigh Cottages make a friendly and relaxing base from which to explore the beautiful Devon countryside and coast. Here, you will discover picturesque villages and harbours, dramatic cliff-top views and many quiet beaches. Spring in Devon begins earlier here, and the mild autumn can be one of the best times to visit. The winter, too, is milder than many other parts of Britain.
Lovers of good food will not be disappointed either - whether your passion is for traditional Fish and Chips, a home-made Devon Cream Tea or a special dinner at an award-winning restaurant, you will be spoilt for choice wherever you choose - Devon has a growing network of small, independent, organic food producers who supply many of our local shops, cafes, and pubs.
Children will find plenty of places to amuse themselves too — from rock-pooling to fossil-hunting, to safe off-road bike trails and outdoor adventure play areas; countryside parks and riding stables.
The 8 single-storey Leigh Cottages, Sidmouth,  are all 4-star graded, by the national ’Visit Britain’ award scheme, and are tastefully furnished and fully-equipped for self-catering, to our own high standards of comfort and cleanliness. All the Cottages face south onto well-kept lawns and garden areas, with individual patios. Parking is adjacent to, or nearby, each cottage and there is a separate Visitors’ Parking area. The Leighs is level and very private, with only one entrance and exit, and we have a permanent Warden who lives on site.
