Lenbrook Retirement Community was conceived by Atlanta businessman Jack Clark, who in the early 80's determined to build an upscale, full-service Retirement community in the desirable Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia in United States. The Lenbrook Square Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, sponsored the new venture, and the community opened to its first residents in July, 1983.
Twenty-two years later, Lenbrook Retirement Community is still the only nationally accredited continuing care Retirement community in Atlanta., (and one of only three in Georgia).
In the spring of 2005, Lenbrook received the necessary permits and funding to proceed with the development of 142 new residences, a Wellness Center and Spa and the renovation of existing community areas. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2006, with completion by fall, 2008.
The vision of Lenbrook Retirement Community in Atlanta, Georgia, is to be recognized as the leading Continuing Care Retirement Community chosen for its reputation of fine living, congenial people, and excellent wellness care for a full and happy life.
Our mission is to enable our residents to enjoy the gifts of independence, good health, and personal fulfillment to the fullest extent possible through our many programs and services.
