Welcome to The Lionstone Inn in Pictou, Nova Scotia in Canada. Our goal at The Lionstone Inn is to provide clean and comfortable rooms at reasonable rates. We are located on a three acre, well maintained property only 5 minutes from the PEI ferry, minutes to New Glasgow and a short walk to the deCoste Centre. There are 14 Motel rooms, including 2 suites and 4 with kitchenettes, 13 Cottages with private baths and a few with kitchens or kitchenettes.
The Lionstone Inn is conveniently located close to all amenities/attractions, including historic Pictou, Nova Scotia, genealogy research, a grocery store, a liquor store and a drugstore. We are the closest Motel to the PEI ferry. We even have a complimentary high-speed wireless internet connection (reaches most rooms).
Our name is representative of a 100+ year old carved stone lion sculpture on the property, which was carved by John Wilson, who carved many sculptures and monuments throughout Canada and the US. He went on to become a professor at Harvard University.
All Motel rooms have a private full bath, cable TV, cooling fans and are non-smoking (room 19 is our only smoking room) and drive up.
A/C is usually not needed, as nights are cooler being on the coast.
All Cottages have either 3 piece or full baths and cable. All Cottages are non-smoking.
