Welcome to Littlehampton Harbour, United Kingdom, at the mouth of the River Arun. The Harbour provides a safe haven for all leisure craft as well as being a small commercial port.
Once inside the Harbour, pontoons complete with power, light and water are provided in front of the Harbour Office. For a small charge these are available for visitors as are the showers and toilets within the office. The moorings are adjacent to Pier Road with its shops and waterside restaurants and just a short, level stroll along a scenic riverside walkway from the town centre. The maritime themed pedestrian precinct plays host to familiar High Street stores as well as chemists, newsagents, hardware and a supermarket.
Since Roman times there has been a port on the River Arun and today's Littlehampton Harbour has been designed for both leisure as well as commercial use.
Littlehampton Harbour, United Kingdom, is a small commercial port which is used for the import of stone from France, Holland and Ireland. Vessels up to a length of 70 metres overall can be accommodated and cargoes other than stone may be accepted by arrangement of the wharf operator.
The Littlehampton Harbour Board is a competent Harbour Authority and under the Pilotage Act, Pilotage is compulsory for craft over 50 tonnes.
