It is available year round for family weekly holiday lets; short breaks and long weekends; and for family gatherings and overflow accommodation for Topsham residents.
The Lively Hope is a truly relaxing and special hideaway. With its unique riverside position, it is a great spot to watch the sail boats pass by on summer evenings, to enjoy the tidal estuary as it ebbs and flows, and to sit out and watch spectacular sunsets over the Haldon Hills.
For the past seven years, a pair of mute swans has nested in the reeds literally just below the garden wall, and successfully hatched an annual flock of cygnets. We hope that they will return again this year!
The Lively Hope is located just off the Topsham town quay on Ferry Road, a quiet non-through road that is at once secluded yet just a stone’s throw from Topsham’s numerous restaurants, pubs, cafés and shops. Indeed, there are four good pubs alone within no more than 2-5 minutes walk!
The Lively Hope is an imaginatively designed, spacious open-plan cottage that sleeps 4-6 comfortably in three separate bedrooms, with a ground floor shower room and a separate upstairs bathroom with roll-top cast iron bath. The property is well-equipped and has constant hot water, underfloor heating, and a dishwasher and washer-dryer. The main rooms enjoy outstanding views over the Exe estuary.
