Los Tios Restaurant a great place to eat from the words "let's go eat." The view is of the beach on Playa Zicatela, Puerto Escondido. If you arrive early, enough you can watch the expert surfers doing their thing. The good thing about being on the beach is when the wind is blowing there are no pesky mosquitoes. The food is delicious and abundant. We had dinner but breakfast and lunch is also served. A very attentive waiter who speaks English well served our meal. The wait for his service was short but not short enough that we felt rushed. All right so what. We had a "Club Sandwich" like no other club sandwich I have ever seen. Imagine a layer of ham onions and tomato, a layer of fried egg, a layer of chicken and avocado, a layer of American cheese, and a layer of bacon on six, yes six slices of bread. This is a creation that a pot fiend would envy. Another meal we had is one of the world's best concoctions. Oaxacan Mole!
If you have never had Oaxacan mole you must do anything you can to get to Oaxaca and try it. It is a sauce that cannot be described but I will say that it has a taste of chocolate and many different spices that have a little bite. It usually comes on a breast or leg of chicken or enchiladas. It can't be duplicated anywhere else. Los Tios Restaurant does Oaxacan mole as well as it can be done.
