The Maccassil Guest House is situated in Hythe, Kent, United Kingdom, in the south east corner of England close to the channel ports of Dover and Folkestone and the Channel Tunnel. Hythe means 'Haven' and a haven it is. The character of the promenade has remained unchanged since the early 1900's so there is none of the razzmatazz associated with some seaside resorts.
The Maccassil Guest House is a large, detached residence with a superb position, the only Bed and Breakfast on Hythe promenade. From the Guest House there are uninterrupted views of the English Channel from Dover to Dungeness, and on a clear day, to France. The 10 metre wide promenade is peaceful and traffic free and separates the Maccassil Guest House from the beach and sea.
Maccassil,is a family run Bed and Breakfast with a warm welcome guaranteed. The accommodation consists of Family, Double, Twin and Single bedrooms - all with their own private bathrooms and situated at ground floor level, ideal for the elderly or disabled. All rooms are tastefully decorated with colour TV and tea and coffee making facilities. At Maccassil, a Hearty Traditional English Breakfast is served, or if preferred, a lighter Continental Breakfast. At Maccassil Guest House, United Kingdom, guests have their own separate entrance that enables them to come and go as they please, as well as private parking at the rear of the premises
