She has extensive experience in both estate planning and elder law matters. She has had a successful practice in family law, general business law, credit and commercial litigation, and now focuses her practice in estate planning and elder law, utilizing her knowledge of the other areas of law to enhance her expertise in estate planning and elder law concerns.
Ms. Malament continues to teach numerous courses for government employees, private professionals, businesspeople and the general community, as well as appearing on local radio shows for these topics, and has authored several publications relating to business procedures and asset protection. She is a part-time professor in the Perdue School of Business at Salisbury University, teaching subjects in retirement and and estate planning. Additionally, throughout her career she has been a leader in various professional, business, service and nonprofit organizations.
Ms. Malament is admitted to practice in the Maryland, Virginia,and DC State and Federal Courts, the US Supreme Court, the US Tax Court, and the Federal Court of Claims. She is a member of the Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia Bar Associations, and the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys.
