Situated 6 miles from Newquay and 8 miles from Padstow on the picturesque rugged north coast of Cornwall, the hamlet of Mawgan Porth is a beach resort that has not been over commercialised.
It has a lovely beach with caves and rock pools to explore as well as safe bathing and surfing.
We have 11 letting bedrooms ranging from singles and doubles to a family room which sleeps 5. Some are en-suite and conversion of others to en-suite is progressing as is upgrading. All rooms have washing, tea-making facilities, clock radios and remote control colour televisions. Most rooms are on the ground floor with 3 being upstairs (these do have parts with sloping roofs).
The lounge has a Panoramic View over the sea and surrounding area. Guests are welcome to use the lounge and television at any time of the day. Board games, cards, magazines and books are available for guests use. Malcolm and Marylyn appreciate guests joining them in the lounge of an evening, experience has shown that our doggy visitors mix and settle well in the lounge.
Breakfast is served between 8.45am - 9.30am and includes fruit juice, cereal, full english breakfast, tea/coffee, toast and jams. Malcolm is happy to provide any alternative with due notice. Dinner is served prompt at 6.30pm (other times by arrangement) menus are basic english meals (no fancy bits) and consist of starter, main meal, pudding, tea/coffee. All meals are prepared fresh daily. Dinner orders are requested at breakfast and Malcolm is happy to offer alternatives, and can cater for that special occasion. Vegetarians and special diets can also be accommodated.
