The Mangrove Info Center Bonaire (established in 2002 by Gerard van Erp) is a research and excursion center. Visit the center to learn more about one of the most unknown and most endangered environments on our planet The Mangrove Info Center offers guided kayak & solar boat tours through the beautiful mangrove forest of Lac bay Bonaire. The Mangrove Info Center is also involved in mangrove research and we have a partnership with the Rotterdam Zoo in the Netherlands. This Zoo is planning to build a large educational mangrove forest. In our center we have built a 7X7 ft aquarium to do basic research for this project.
Feel free to visit our center. Meet the enthusiastic and knowledgeable crew to take you out on a guided tour by kayak or solar boat. We are using single & double "sit-on-top" kayaks, easy to handle, also for beginners. The solar boat has an electric driven outboard so, no noise and no pollution !
