Margaritas of Mystic is located in Factory Square, an historic 19th century brick building on Water St. off Mystic's Main St. This restaurant joined the growing company in late 1995 and reopened after a complete renovation in March 1996. Located downtown in the quaint New England seaport village, the "Exhibition Hall" building with distinctive architectural features offers great Mexican ambiance. The cozy restaurant has a seating capacity of about 150 people in the dining room, 100 in the lounge with room for an additional 30 people on the seasonal deck.
The restaurant is a favorite with the people of Mystic and New London county, one of Connecticut's most populated areas. It's also popular with the many tourists while they visit the New England clapboard galleries, antique shops along with the Mystic Seaport and the Mystic Aquarium. The restaurant also draws from visitors and employees of the nearby Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casino, Electric Boat/General Dynamics, Pifizer Inc., Lawerence & Memorial Hospital and the students of The University of Connecticut, Avery Point, Connecticut College, Mitchell College and The U.S. Coast Guard Academy. Military personnel from the nearby U.S. Naval Base also consider Margaritas a friendly port of call.
