The name MARVALDI has been synonymous with MAKEUP for over 30 years. In 1980, Douglas Marvaldi received a media package from a beauty editor - six conceptual faces designed with an airbrush. This was the beginning of a fascination that grew into a reality. Inspired by these drawings, Marvaldi's creativity haunted him. The makeup artist in him wouldn't be satisfied until he was able to see this finish on a face.

Douglas Marvaldi from Marvaldi Makeup, Winter Park, Florida, USA, purchased an airbrush kit and began experimenting on real faces, producing the results he wanted, but the liquid was not working with the airbrush.

As fate would have it, he was concurrently working with a team of dermatologists who were looking for a solution in their feild of highly specialized skin care - namely trying to conceal port wine birthmarks and a skin pigment condition known as Vitiligo.

Following a demonstration to these skin care experts, Marvaldi was hired to continue his research in perfecting the method using the airbrush. He then met Dr. George Fiedler, a well known cosmetic chemist, who was intrigued with Marvaldi's method and asked if he could be a part of developing a safe and effective makeup.
