Mary's Guest House has a perfect location - in the hub of the Paraparaumu community, Wellington in New Zealand. Four minutes walk to the rail and bus station and another one minute walk through the underpass to Coastlands shopping mall. The English Language Academy has a campus directly across the road from Mary's Guest House, as well as a campus at Coastlands Mall.

Mary's Guest House is nestled beside a hill under the most well known land mark in Paraparaumu, Wellington: a 13.41 metre high statue of Our Lady. It is believed to be one of the largest statues of its type in the world. We have a walkway to the base of the statue where you can enjoy great views of the entire Kapiti Coast and out to Kapiti Island.

We believe this accommodation is ideal for students intending to go to the English Language Academy. The students who are here now, and those who have already stayed here, have been very happy. Dining Room with several tables and chairs, and some fridges and freezers. This room is also where dishes are washed. TV Room has a TV and Video and several comfortable couches and is ideal for relaxing in.

Games Room with a piano, dart board, pool table, snooker table and table tennis table. This is the social area of the house for guests and their friends.

Kitchen is well equipped, just supply your own food. You are assigned your own lockable cupboard for storing food etc. Cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils are provided for your use. There are also fridges and freezers for storing perishable food.

Bedrooms are all carpeted and have either curtains or blinds. All bedroom windows have screens fitted. We have single or double rooms available and also some rooms for disabled guests. Single rooms all have one single bed, but double rooms can have two single beds or one double bed as needed. In addition all rooms are furnished with a handbasin, heater, wardrobe, drawers, desk, chair, reading light, rubbish bin, washing basket, bedding, towels and face cloths. All these items are supplied according to the number of people living in the room. Each room also has an internet link on our network system (you must have a network card in your computer to work).

Some rooms have an ensuite with shower, toilet and basin. We also have a few rooms for those with a disability, which are suitable for wheelchair access to the ensuite. Bathrooms - a number of toilets, and showers are available for all to use.

Laundry - there is a fully equipped laundry available for use, with washing machines, dryers and ironing facilities. Guests supply their own laundry powder. An outside clothesline and pegs is also provided. Each area of the house has rules which apply to it, and these are posted on the walls for each guest to read.

General rules which apply to all areas are:

? No alcohol to be consumed on the property.

? No smoking anywhere in the building.

? Be considerate of other residents at all times.

? No additional guests are to stay overnight unless prior arrangements are made with management.

? You must keep your own room clean. In all communal areas you must clean up after yourself.

? Any noisy activity is to be in the games room.

? Turn heaters, lights, TV and any electrical or gas items off when leaving each room.
