"Mathias does not teach slow learners well. He teaches "big wave theory" so you can make the big drop and avoid going over the falls, dragging a face rut, pearling, catching a rail, getting caught in the death set, begging for mercy and avoiding the impact zone. He will let you know how to deal with getting caught in a Colorado River rip. If you are a slow learner or skip school on an important day then snapping your board, breaking a fin or getting a major ding will result.
