McCollums Resort in Nipigon, Thunder Bay District, Canada | Resort

Welcome to McCollums Resort, Nipigon, Canada. McCollums Resort is situated on a sheltered eight mile bay at the south end of Lake Nipigon. This bay offers quite a large area of water to explore, sight see, or fish on without having to venture onto the larger expanse of the Lake.  In these protected waters, there is good walleye and northern pike fishing.

Our services include rentals of boats and motors.  These units are fourteen ft. aluminum boats with 6 hp motors.  We have two sand beach swim areas here at the Resort and outdoor fire pits. Cookout areas also include the use of gas barbecues. Our cottages are large clean units with complete kitchen and bathroom facilities. Dishes, cutlery, pots and pans are included.

These cottages have two bedrooms, with two twin beds in each bedroom. A fold out couch in the living room with double spring filled mattress provides extra sleeping room. Bed linens and towels are also supplied. All cottages are on the waters' edge and offer a beautiful view from large picture windows. For a stay of more than one day, it is advisable to grocery shop on the way to the Resort.

Our scenery is spectacular! Our Resort is surrounded on three sides by water and faces the 500 ft. bluffs of a Pre Cambrian mountain range. A land locked, spring fed lake borders the eastern shores of the Resort, reflecting these majestic mountains in its cold, clear depths, giving it the name 'Reflection Lake'. Within full view and easy walking distance of the Resort, a beautiful waterfall cascades over the mountain side into a bay on Lake Nipigon. This bay surrounds the southern and western shores of our McCollums Resort.
