The founders of Mianu Café come from different backgrounds but share one passion â?? great food. The owner, Kevin Trieu, was born in Vietnam and came to America in September 1980. His parents worked in Chinese and Vietnamese Restaurants for about 12 years before they finally bought their own Chinese/Vietnamese Restaurant in the San Gabriel Valley . Through their hard work, Kevin was able to get a Business degree at UCLA and worked for several years as a CPA. During his 6 years in accounting, Kevin always looked forward to lunch time with employees and dinner time with friends and family. Although his favorite food was his grandma's home-made cooking, he enjoyed trying unique dishes from various ethnic food Restaurants. So when he met his partner, Tim, a culinary chef, whose family was also in the Restaurant business and who also shared a passion for food, the two of them decided to get into the Restaurant business.
