Welcome to Mistletoe Vineyard in Hunter Valley, Australia. Mistletoe Vineyard (est. 1989) is a small, family-owned vineyard and winery located on Hermitage Road, Pokolbin in the beautiful lower Hunter Valley, New South Wales, Australia.
Mistletoe Vineyard was rated by James Halliday as one of the 10 dark horses of the Australian Wine Industry in 2007 and has been awarded a 5 star rating in the 2007 and 2008 editions of Halliday's Australian Wine Companion.
Mistletoe Vineyard's philosophy is to strive continually to improve the quality of the wines produced by the use of industry best practices in both the vineyard and the winery.
The benefits of this approach shows in the great results we have achieved from Wine Shows since we first commenced exhibiting in 1997. In that time, wines at Mistletoe Vineyard have been awarded three Championships, 9 Trophies, and in excess of 20 Gold Medals, 50 Silver Medals and 100 Bronze Medals.
After a hectic, and quite cold few weeks, we have just finished pruning our Vineyards.
It is the largest most time consuming task we undertake each year. The pruning techniques we use ultimately determine the quality and quantity of grapes we shall harvest in 6 months time.
Mistletoe Vineyard wines are all made on site in Hunter Valley. Approximately 40% of the grapes we process are grown at Mistletoe Vineyard with the majority of the remainder being grown under contract, to our specifications, by a team of dedicated growers in Mistletoe?s immediate area.
