Welcome to the Moonlight Restaurant, Alton, United States. It has been more than 64 years since Alfonso Castelli opened the Moonlight Restaurant. It gained instant popularity and has grown consistently through several expansions and is now owned, operated and managed by the 3rd and 4th generations of the Castelli family.
Grandson Michael and great-grandsons Tom and Joe have assumed the leadership of this proud family dining tradition. Once known only as the "local" landmark Restaurant serving the Alton, Illinois area, the Moonlight Restaurant has become a St. Louis area favorite and draws regular diners from around the country.
Moonlight's most popular item is its fried chicken. The TALK-N-CHIC™ is a house secret, trademarked recipe. This item is so popular that 70% of dining patrons order chicken at Moonlight. That's alot of chicken, especially when you consider that the Restaurant seats 325 at a time and serves more than 800 on any given Saturday night.
In addition to their popular chicken, Castelli's other homemade specialties are their Roman House Salad, Tortellini, Ravioli, and pasta. It is to die for!
