Mooresville Dragway located in "Race City USA" has been a weekly fixture of southwest Rowan County, NC since 1959. Starting out in the early days of drag racing as a "dirt" surface, it's revolved into one IHRA's premier 1/8th race complex. It has maintained it's down to earth family atmosphere due to the fact that it has been owned by the Leazer family for over fifty years. Mooresville Dragway has the record for being one of the longest running Saturday night drag strips in the country.

The Official Test Track for Summit Racing Team of Greg Anderson and Jason Line. Anderson, a 3 time NHRA Pro Stock World Champion, helped Mooresville Dragway get the 1/8th mile track surface ground super smooth.

Legendary Roy Hill also uses Mooresville Dragway "super bite" race surface to test his IHRA Pro Modified record holding Super Charged Ford Mustang.
