Welcome to Moorhouse Insurance, Group, Caerphilly, Wales. Moorhouse Group’s history began with the founding of Liability Direct Underwriting Limited, one of its primary divisions, by Mr Lyndon Wood (now Chairman) in August 1990.

Vaninsure came into existence in May 2002 as a division of the Moorhouse Group with the intention of providing a cost effective and quality Insurance solution to the commercial vehicle industry. This division further expanded in relation to market need into the Vaninsure Fleet Division in August 2003, providing Insurance cover for commercial vehicle groups for more than three vehicles.  Xbroker, the division of Moorhouse Group that offers specialist branded products to HSBC Spectrum, was started in June 2003. Xbroker began through a strategic alliance between Moorhouse Group and HSBC that facilitates Xbroker to sell products to brokers registered with HSBC. HSBC then guarantees the broker’s accounts for any payment due to Xbroker. HSBC have recently recognised Xbroker as being one of the best service providers on the HSBC Spectrum panel.

Rattio, the retail Insurance division of Moorhouse Insurance Group, Caerphilly began in June 2004 and though having begun with a handful of clients now continues to grow it’s customer base rapidly each month.  The most recent addition to the Moorhouse Group is the personal lines Insurance division, for which the company has negotiated excellent rates with its insurers in order to provide a very competitive service to its existing commercial customers. Moorhouse Insurance Group re-branded on 14th January 2005, on the same day as the Financial Services Authority became the regulator of the industry. The implications of the re-brand were at Liability Direct (Underwriting) Ltd, Vaninsure, Rattio, Xbroker and personal lines divisions are now referred to as Moorhouse Liability, Moorhouse Vaninsure, Moorhouse Retail, Moorhouse Xbroker and Moorhouse Personal respectively.
