Welcome to Mr Jones Country Casseroles, Southend-on-Sea, United Kingdom. We are a small family business that started in 1981 when we purchased a Wine Bar/ Restaurant in Southend-on-Sea. Having introduced a range of "Pies" (in a casserole dish with a pastry top) the rapid up-take created a production problem. Our kitchens were too small to keep up, forcing us to find and set up a separate kitchen half a mile away. We called this operation "Mr Jones's Pie Factory". It is a very small Factory by the standards of most Food production and we do not use conveyor belts or any automated machinery. We only use a bratt pan, (like a large casserole) for starting off our casseroles, our old fashioned slow ovens where we cook them, blast chillers and a packing station (hand packed). Not exactly high tech stuff. However, we are properly trained chefs and are chef driven. We know how to extract real flavour from our traditional recipes.

The Mr Jones Country Casseroles Factory has always had a very small request from our restaurant customers to fill and pastry top one of their own casserole dishes, and it is out of this that we are launching this new delivery service throughout United Kingdom mainland. Mr Jones Country Casseroles are all hand made to very high standards using only fresh and good quality ingredients. We do not need to add stabilisers, gels, E numbers enhancers or colourings of any sort, natural or otherwise. Our casseroles have a very high reputation both among our restaurant customers as well as our catering customers.
