Murraya in Cairns, County of Nares, Australia | Conference Convention

Welcome to Murraya Conference Centre, Cairns, Australia. Our function centre and accommodation facility, Murraya (pronounced Mer-ray-a), is named after the sweet smelling mock orange blossom shrubs thriving in our gardens.

Its botanical name is Murraya exotica (orange jasmine). An evergreen fast-growing shrub, it grows to eight feet and its leaves are dark green consisting of seven to nine leaflets. Its flowers are white, very fragrant and about one inch across. It has red oval berries and suits temperate and sub tropical districts (perfect for Cairns!). It is native to the East Indies.  Murraya: functions and accommodation comprises a function room that is perfect for a whole range of events like business planning days, small workshops, presentations, parties etc and accommodation that offers incredible value for money.

Murraya,Conference Centre is located in the popular northern suburb of Cairns in Smithfield, Murraya is a convenient, affordable and secluded facility for team meetings, planning days and workshops.

It's sometimes difficult to find a venue that well serves smaller groups. Our air conditioned function and conference centre is perfect for events from 5 - 300 people with clean, comfortable accomodation for 350 guests, conveniently adjacent.

Choose from the Murraya room with seating for up to 120, the Dining Hall, which seats up to 300, the Inside Lounge with seating for 20, or the Poolside and Garden with seating for 80 guests.
