The Museum, Museo Mormino includes collections of ceramics, coins, prints and drawings, stamps, paintings, and an important archaeological collection of Palermo, Italy. In addition, a rich library with over seventy thousand volumes.
The first nucleus of the collection of archaeological Foundation Banco di Sicilia dates from the late fifties, when the Ministry of Education agreed to entrust the Banco di Sicilia 320 pieces of various nature and origin, in order that their restoration and subsequent exposure to the public at the Museo Mormino. Today, the Museum owns 4,751 exhibits, most of which comes from archaeological excavations conducted mainly in Solunto, Terravecchia of Cuti Himera and Selinunte and financed by Banco in the sixties.
