Welcome to Music City, Spokane, Washington, United States. Music City opened for business as Hammond Organ Studios of Spokane on North Monroe in Spokane Washington, on February 14, 1962.
Hammond organs were the only products sold during the first year of business. Everett, Cable-Nelson and Hammond Pianos along with Leslie speakers were added in 1963.
In 1965 the business was moved to a new location in the North Town Mall in Spokane and in 1967 a major move was completed to First Avenue and Monroe Street, along with the name change to Music City Spokane, Inc. We operated at that building until the year 2000 and though we've left the building it has been officially named the Music City building. Our current locations may be found on the "Locations" page.
1970 was a major year of expansion in taking on the additional lines of Baldwin and Kimball piano and organ products. In 1972 Wurlitzer piano and organ products were also acquired.
In 1973 a new location was opened in Clarkston Washington, as a separate corporation DBA Music City Clarkston, Inc. A location in Coeur d?Alene Idaho soon followed.
As years passed the influence of quality products from Japan became obvious and Music City acquired premium brands including Roland Digital Piano and Keyboards and ultimately the most coveted line of Yamaha electronics and acoustic pianos. Along with these products acquisitions additional locations were opened in Coeur d'Alene Idaho, Spokane Valley and Kennewick Washington.
Music City is committed to education and service with private and group lessons available through all locations along with a full time, highly trained piano technician, who works exclusively for Music City, available to take care of your piano needs promptly and professionally.
