Hello and welcome to the Windjammer Mystic Whaler, Cruises New London, United States. Built in 1967 and rebuilt in 1993, the tall ship Mystic Whaler of New London meets or exceeds all Coast Guard standards for safety, with an auxiliary diesel engine and generator, and a full array of navigational equipment.
You will find this vessel stable and comfortable with many passenger amenities. The Mystic Whaler measures 83 feet on deck, 103 feet overall and carries 3000 square feet of sail.
We begin each voyage with an underway tour of the Thames River, with Fort Trumbull and Fort Griswold overlooking the river and Avery Point and Ledge Light Lighthouses protecting its entrance.
Learn the history of many islands and lighthouses. Haul a line, take a turn at the wheel, or plot your course. Finish that book you've been meaning to read or just kick back and relax.
The wonderful taste of New England cooking while underway is the perfect recipe for relaxation.
Whether it's over an amazing cup of clam chowder or our decadent desserts, you're bound to remember these meals as mouth-watering.
Now entering his fourteenth year as owner of the Mystic Whaler Cruises, John Eginton is a respected veteran of the windjammer world. Each year he and the crew bring new and exciting opportunities to their guests.
Captain John offers a memorable and relaxing sailing adventure. Whether a 5 hour trip in his home waters, or a three day trip in the Chesapeake, you are sure to leave with life-long memories.
